1) What are we saying when we say we will partake of the Lord’s supper till Christ comes? We express our belief in the perpetuity of this ordinance, until the influence of Christ’s death shall have been infallibly secured.
We are now in a world where men forget 2)…and as long as we are in such a world, we must keep this sign-post as a direction to those who want to journey to heaven. We must never remove this sign-post, till there will be no need of it because Christ will have come, even then beloved we shall not then forget his death.
