This is first and foremost the story of seven men, Kakera Acotie, Quasie Henkaba, Cobena Manson, Japa, Popo, Injacoreda and Atta from the Gold Coast town of Elmina and the Fante state (in present day Ghana). The men earned their living as canoemen along the African coast. (2/18)
