There's a big question we need to ask about @NYCMayor school cuts:
Why would a mayor who campaigned heavily on education AND had more than enough federal $ to avoid these cuts decide to pick an ugly fight? 🤔
There is one way it makes sense.

In a @nypost editorial yesterday, a right-wing columnist spelled out their current anti-public ed strategy.
For the right, pandemic upheavals are an opportunity to further their war on public education, replacing public schools w private, charter & religious schools.

So tired of these data-poor and quite frankly lazy takes.
Black and brown voters have gone for leftists in massive numbers all over the city - including downballot in this very same election!
No one is walking into the voting booth thinking "Hmm, who would REBNY vote for?"

I spent the last 4 days w @JamaalBowmanNY riding around #NY16 on a big yellow school bus (w dope playlists).
Today it's clear that Jamaal won. We took down the candidate backed by HRC + Cuomo + Pelosi + corporate million$$$.
But the bus tour showed me something else.
Jamaal spending endless time talking to young black men who say all politicians are liars & that the country is unfixable. Most weren't registered Dems and so couldn't vote for him - one even a paid Engel canvasser.
