Just In: ProPublica has learned that a federal grand jury this morning indicted two more former leaders of Mexico’s fight against drug cartels. /1
The indictments marked a stunning fall from grace for Ramón Pequeño García and Luis Cárdenas Palomino, who had been celebrated by U.S. officials as trusted warriors in the fight against Mexican drug cartels. /2

@ProPublica has learned that Mexico's former security minister, Genaro Garcia Luna, has been indicted on corruption charges in NY and arrested in Grapevine, Tx. Source says Garcia Luna had "all kinds of pictures with US officials in his unassuming one bedroom."
The arrest comes as part of a broad investigation into Mexican corruption, following the trial against Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzman. Garcia Luna was accused during the trial of taking cartel bribes as far back as 2005. nytimes.com/2018/11/20/nyr…
