Since last Spring, many have argued that mandatory, regular COVID testing of everyone entering CPS building is one of the most basic things we need to do to keep schools safe & open. CPS rejected this plan, favoring a weak testing plan producing minimal data on COVID in CPS.
CPSs COVID testing plan required parents to opt in through a difficult process. It was poorly advertised. Those who signed up have often been unable to get tests. Results have repeatedly been lost (5 of mine so far).
