Bombshell: Reeves claims she’s lowered business rates. I call BS.

Many pubs, restaurants, and shops have realised their bills are actually going up, by a lot.

Why? Because while multipliers seem lower, an important relief was scrapped. Here's the truth… 🧵 Image Conservatives introduced rates relief for retail, hospitality, worth up to £110,000.

At her first budget, Reeves cut the discount from 75% to 40%.

Now, she’s scrapped it entirely, claiming that “permanently lower” multipliers make up for it — they don’t. Image

Who is David Walker, the woke Bishop of Manchester who last night voted to crush free speech and ban pub banter?

How did he wind up forcing landlords to snoop on your private conversations?

Brace yourself for one of Britain’s most left-wing Bishops. 👇🧵 Image David Walker was enthroned as Bishop of Manchester in 2013. He’s one of the 26 Lords Spiritual, Anglican Bishops who sit in the House of Lords and get to vote on legislation.

Since then, he’s been busy getting stuck into every woke cause he can find.

There's a black-hole bombshell buried in today’s OBR report that's very bad news for Rachel Reeves.

Their attack on millionaires will mean one thing – tax rises for everyone.

The OBR are sending Labour a message: U-turn now or prepare to pay the price. Let's take a look 🧵 Last year, Reeves decided to attack millionaires who choose to live and invest here.

They can leave, but the OBR estimated they wouldn’t, instead coughing up £33.9 billion...

Reeves announced that number and the left swallowed it. But now? Something’s changed.

BREAKING: The Government confirms no EU e-Gates after EU introduces new fingerprinting requirements in October.

Instead of being able to breeze through the fast-lane, Brits will be stuck with everyone else scanning their fingerprints and faces at kiosks. 🧵 Image The Government promised we would soon be able to use e-Gates as part of their EU surrender deal that gave up our fishing rights, raises energy prices, and returns us to Brussels rule takers.

Now they’ve confirmed to me that new rules mean it won’t happen.

🚨 The UK government is about to turbo-charge the Equality Act in a way that could kill pubs, censor football fans, and destroy free speech in hospitality & beyond.

Let’s talk about Clause 18 – the so-called "Banter Ban" 🧵 Image 1/ Clause 18 of the Employment Rights Bill expands employer liability for "third-party (non-sexual) harassment."

Translation? If an employee overhears something they find offensive—EVEN IF it wasn’t directed at them—their employer can be sued.

What could go wrong? A lot. 👇

Labour are rushing through a ‘Trojan Horse Bill’ to push us back into the EU.

But why is this Bill far more damaging than just that?

A thread on the "Product Regulation and Metrology Bill"👇 Image Today, the House of Lords will be debating the carefully named Product Regulation and Metrology Bill.

Just 12 pages long, the Bill is a blank cheque for Ministers to reshape Britain’s product standards with sweeping, unimpeded powers.

Labour want to take us back to the 1970s and they’re doing it with one Bill that should have businesses terrified.

What’s hiding in the Employment Rights Bill? Why will it kill jobs and cost billions? And why is it banning pub banter?

🧵👇 Image Labour have branded their 190-page Employment Rights Bill as a ‘once in a generation’ new deal for working people. Reality couldn’t be further from the truth.

It’s a union wish list that undoes decades of careful reform and will make the UK one of the worst places to hire.

Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves have declared war on your local pub.

Here's their five-step onslaught on pubs👇🧵 Image

Labour promised taxes *on work* would not rise. But from April, every landlord will have to pay an extra £800 per worker in National Insurance.

For the average pub, landlords will have to sell an extra 1,300 pints to meet this.

This alone will be terminal for many pubs. Image
