I’m downtown this evening helping out with @DandC coverage of protests following the death of Daniel Prude.
We’re at the Public Safety Building on Exchange Blvd now, where a crowd of about 75 has gathered.
Crowd is peaceful, listening to the speakers as cars driving by honk in solidarity.

in the 4.5 months ive been w the @dandc, ive written a lot of stories about people who died, often in really awful ways. to write those stories, i have to track down loved ones + ask them painful questions.
it sucks. i make a lot of people cry.
but each story is so important.
today's example: i interviewed a daughter + a sister + some coworkers of two people who died last week in a horrible accident.
