This is a long one and it's taken me all day to write. It's heavy and emotional. I'm in an education session this week and today is about reconciliation and allyship. I'm sharing this thread and story with permission. An Elder has shared her experiences in residential schools with our group today. How she lost her status after marrying a white man and how that impacted her children and how it will impact her children's children.
