Settlers evicted today a Palestinian family from their land west of Bethlehem. The police did not arrest them but allowed the evacuation. All this was done in the name the KKL - Jewish National Fund JNF.

The High court of Justice outright rejected the petition of the Shhadeh family against its eviction from their home in Batan Al-Hawa (Silwan) in favor of settlers.

The lawsuit is part of a series of dozens of eviction lawsuits filed by settlers against some 84 Palestinian families living in Batan al-Hawa in Silwan, *putting a community of c. 700 people in danger of being evicted*.

Decision in the case of Sheikh Jarrah:
The Supreme Court presented the parties with a compromise proposal. They must notify if they agree by 2/11/21. If there is no consent - the court will give a verdict.

The main proposed compromise: 1. The Palestinian families will be recognized as protected tenants and the settlers will be considered the owner, without prejudging the families' claims regarding ownership in a future land-registration process.

The Higher Planning Council approved today several construction plans in the settlements, which are mainly plans for public buildings, industry, and changes in building regulations in existing plans. 1/4 A total of 5 housing units were approved: 2 in Yitzhar (near Nablus), 2 in Tzofim (near Qalqiliya) and 1 unit in Elazar (near Bethlehem).
