The US may be the only nation that authorizes dog attacks inside prison cells. I spent over a year investigating how patrol dogs are used inside United States prisons to attack and terrorize people trapped behind razor wire and cell doors.

insider.com/guard-dogs-att… I found at least 23 prisons in eight states that have deployed attack-trained dogs on prisoners in recent years – Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Virginia. A map titled 'The use of attack-trained dogs is legal in multiple states: at least 12 states authorize the use of attack-trained dogs in prisons; Insider confirmed that 8 have deployed them in recent years for attacks or shows of force.' Eight states are highlighted as 'actively using dogs': Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia, Indiana, Iowa, and Arizona. Four other states are highlighted as 'authorizes using dogs': Arkansas, Minnesota, Illinois, and Maryland.
