I've been thinking a lot lately about how disappointed I am in Sikhs who trust, collaborate with, and participate in the police and military State. There's an apparent legacy of Sikh participation in police and military, which is tied up in religious history and theology. But it's also deeply influenced by toxic masculinity, anti-blackness, and a (perceived) close proximity to whiteness/the majority.
