#MorningRant I’ve lost the stomach for Christians whose idea of counsel is to take a prepackaged scripture out of the freezer & serve it cold to people struggling with hard questions.

Nobody wants your “the Bible says” cold-cuts sandwiches served on stale white bread. (1) Social media makes it easy to read a post (without any context of a person’s struggle) & just comment some random, irrelevant verse of Scripture—as if GOD didn’t give us His Spirit to read people so we would know what WORD is appropriate to their situation & crisis. There are modern psychological terms that aren’t accounted for in Scripture. But that doesn’t mean they are not important to our spiritual development. (1/7) Some mental & emotional conditions we experience often posture as “fruit of the spirit” (love-traits) when in reality they are based completely in fear—especially the fear of people. (2/7)

The Mark of the Beast is:

1. NOT a literal mark, but a seal of loyalty to the Beast. Just like Saints are “sealed” by the Holy Spirit in loyalty to GOD.

2. Received on the forehead & hands. (Both are imagery) Rev. 13:16; 20:4

The forehead = the heart.

The hands = our deeds For the love of GOD, before you start spewing stupid ideologies about end time events STUDY THEM & at least learn what the imagery means.

I’m so tired of reading the ramblings of unlearned “prophets” & pastors who don’t know their Bibles.

For those of you who have decided that your “path forward” doesn’t include the circle (or certain members of the circle) you were a once a part of, I have some unsolicited advice. 1. Be as prayerful about HOW you leave as you are about WHY you’re leaving. For whatever reason, people are notoriously ignorant about the right way to EXIT.
Nothing ruins reputations & damages equity like a botched departure.

1/Under the Mosaic Covenant, GOD functioned in a suzerainty. At times, He partnered with villainous outsiders to discipline his people in lieu of completely destroying them. In a vassal arrangement, the stronger King had that right. 2/To suggest that GOD operates the same way under the “Grant Covenant” He made with the Lord Jesus Christ concerning us is to misunderstand (1) Who GOD is & (2) How covenants work.

The argument that “I’m covered in Jesus’ blood so I still attend church & take no distancing precautions” is “living by faith” raises eyebrows & has sparked disagreement in the faith community. (1/12) Here’s how I see it. Some faith communities focus exclusively on the “protective power of GOD” while others focus on the “obligation to be prudent.” But which is correct? It depends. (2/12)

There are many leaders in Christian churches who don’t understand the Gospel or its power.

What they offer is a vindictive, judgmental, & antiquated picture of a pre-Calvary GOD who appears to be forever seething. (1/10) The problem with this type of preaching is that it (1) ignores the Cross (2) Minimizes the sacrifice of Christ (3) Teaches the Law of Moses as Apostolic Doctrine & (4) Robs believers of the benefit of being in Christ.
