I did a thread on this a while back, but I am sure you are all as tired as me of the continued anti-FPR tropes in our daily Twitteractions as we escalate IA. So let's take each one of these in turn and reveal exactly why they are complete nonsense.

A thread 🧵1/ Image 1. 'They knew what they signed up for' - we didn't. Pay and conditions were far better for doctors when we started med school, and deteriorated over time. We cannot predict actions of future governments, world events, or the changing health of the country at entry to university. Image

To clear things up for the anti-junior doctor brigade:

1. We are not allowed to do private work until we are consultants.

2. We fund our mandatory exams and professional fees/registration ourselves. 3. We have a significant amount of responsibility at ALL stages of post grad work, we deserve appropriate pay for it.

4. Things change over time. We can never know how bad things are from the outside, even whilst applying for or at medical school.
