You would think people would learn that every time they're asked to sell out someone else's rights (like supporting a genocide) to secure their own that's inevitably that's how they take the rights you fought for.
Like if you're a worker and they get you turn on foreign workers then suddenly they're exploitable and capital uses that to rationalise diminishing your rights to remain competitive'

Settler colonialism isn’t just a single historical theft - it’s an ongoing process maintained through violence.
The reason colonisers are so vehement in treating it as something that happened in the past is to distract you from that ongoing violence and its end point - genocide
Hence why they’ll tell you ‘It’s all in the past! We can’t change the past! Can’t you just move on?’

Interesting how not having any sympathy for billionaires is being turned into somehow denying their humanity.
Like actual marginalised people - who’ve had their humanity repeatedly put up for debate - are being told they hold power to dehumanise billionaires.
Also the ‘be kind to your enemies’ narratives are ick. It’s spinning people refusing to celebrate or mourn their oppressors as somehow being unkind.

I'm not a big fan of bigotry being called 'hate speech' since it unnecessarily focuses on the intent of the bigot - which really only the bigot can definitively testify to.
In a way it undermines the testimony of victims who aren't seen as harmed unless the bigot really really meant it.
Then they're coerced to forgive.

'Harmony Day' sounds like it wants to tell me about its holiday in Bali so I know it couldn't possibly be racist.
'Harmony Day' wants us to know racism was in the past, both sides are responsible so *you people* need to get over it.
