Film Critics should say it: Your own experience at a movie is NOT an empirical measurement of the universal correct reaction to it.
Film critics should talk about how much taste, temperament and expectation make a viewing experience singular, not universal.
I just read a bunch of reviews for a film, almost all describe it as if they were cold observers describing indisputable fact.
It’s a crummy old convention of reviewers, and it should be retired. It’s an anti-art stance, as if the viewer of art is monolithic, or worse, moot.

I just read Rebel Scum, a ttrpg about a war in the stars with space wizards and lazer swords. It also doesn’t mince words with spacefacists. 1/?
The rule system, polymorph, is so brilliant for one shots, so lightweight, so freeing that it feels revolutionary. I WILL be running an adventure in this (though I will be setting mine in a more familiar galaxy far far away). 2/
