Since I don't work on tools anymore, I'd like to share thoughts about the design workflow today, what I've learned making tools, and what could be on the horizon in the next few years.

Digital product design at a company is like cooking in a professional kitchen. *Everything* you do affects the rhythm and timing of the other chefs in the kitchen. The goal is to satisfy the customer with the ingredients that you have on hand so that they will want to come back.

You can distill super complicated ideas into a simple action—every hard problem has a solution and complexity is fine. This is the essence of great product and it's quite hard to get to but many give up. I promise you that it can be done. It's a skill you sharpen.
