At my daughter’s school, they do senior talks. Throughout the year, each senior gives a talk to the school (with deck) on an (approved) topic of their choice.

Many kids have turned this into a Revisit My Saddest Event speech—a verbal version of the Trauma College Essay. My daughter instead did hers on Little Joys. She argued that Big Joys are hard to come by, and may not live up to the hype. So find little joys, like watching the Muppet Christmas Carol whenever you want.
