Thread: thoughts/concerns about the NRF and the proposed bill. This is not criticism but a critique on the info available about the proposed NRF, may help in bringing clarity to the NRF bill.
1. Subsuming of SERB into NRF will derail ongoing schemes/funding, hurting the already shaky science granting.
SERB has been stabilised over years, with some effort, it should continue as such.
If it is to subsumed as is, it acknowledges that SERB is doing well, so why reappeal

The students were a revelation; came back next day with imaginative slides prepared lizard skin, urine drop, tick from the pet dog, hair of the cattle etc etc. Were eager to upload pictures even though they have little or no access to the internet.
