Short thread for those who are considering the concealed carry of a handgun after the election. I have carried for 10+ years. I am just going to address the basics, such as choice of caliber, weapon, ammunition, and the importance of training and practice. DM me with questions. Caliber choice. 9mm is recommended. It is what the FBI and most police departments use. With modern ammunition, the terminal performance is excellent. Dagestan is one of the most economically depressed areas occupied by Russia and a history of violent uprisings, for example, in the 1999 War in Dagestan.

This week, major news outlets have reported that Putin is rattling the nuclear saber with respect to Ukraine. Yet again, the reporting has been largely unhelpful, except to Putin. I will attempt to clarify things and show why these threats should be rejected in this 🧵 There are interrelated but distinct issues in play here: the failure of the US and NATO to deter Putin in the past and how, if at all, Putin's threats should impact our current strategy with respect to Ukraine. Finally, I will preview what happens if we don't change course.
