This morning I got a call from a 202 area code number I didn’t recognize, but I answered anyway. The person on the other end said, “Mayor Ward, I’m calling from President Biden’s office, do you have time to talk to the president?” 1/ @JoeBiden @KamalaHarris @DemMayors Ummm … YES, I had time to talk to the President of the United States. “Mr. Mayor, I’m just calling to check on you.,” he said. The president was doing exactly what I’d been doing, and exactly what I’d been asking everyone else to do. 2/
