My water supplier, @stwater, has been sending messages telling people to use less water in the #UKHeatwave.

As a result, my neighbours have been worried about using water on days so hot, they're a national emergency.

NEVER leave mirrors (esp magnifying!), crystals, glass paperweights/ornaments, glasses etc near windows or in direct sunlight.

They will BURN YOUR HOUSE DOWN without a second thought. Not only during this insane heat, but be extra careful while the sun is on the warpath Ask your local fire station, they'll have seen it many times. In one case the culprit was a crystal doorknob, another a Coke bottle. Curved glass = lens!
