@Herb_Minstrel @jonesbrendanm @LoneStarChica @catturd2 @SaraGonzalesTX We don’t have Memorial Day in Scotland but your story has reminded me of my Uncle Joe.

His brother moved to the US in the late 40’s early 50’s and suggested that Joe moved over with him.

His only way to do that was to serve in the military and having been in the signal corps/ @Herb_Minstrel @jonesbrendanm @LoneStarChica @catturd2 @SaraGonzalesTX Here he was eagerly snapped up. He was sent to Korea. Spent twelves months in a pow camp and did not come back the same.

I only ever heard scary stories about him when he visited but never experienced that when I met him.

He was buried with full military honours my cousin, /
