Explain it to me like I’m five: if the one thing drawing protesters to synagogues is settlement fairs, isn’t it reasonable to assume their issue is with the settlement fairs? If they were showing up at any random synagogues, that would be different. But they are not The discourse is so fucking stupid. Deal with the facts

This creep started attacking me after I posted that Chabad is complicit in genocide, but that this in no way justified an ISIS massacre at a public Hanukkah event they hosted.

Now, he has been frantically smearing me for 24 hours straight because I advised Cameron Kasky to get to the West Bank by way of Tel Aviv, where he’d be less likely to get turned away than he would through Jordan. This is the same advice he was given by the many Palestinians I put him in touch with. I wouldn’t expect ‘Bad Empanada’ to know such things, since he admitted he’s never attempted to visit Palestine since they’d “never let him in.”

To be clear, this person knows nothing about me and has gotten virtually every detail of my life and work wrong. The lies and smears are tedious enough, but it’s the pathetic bravado of someone who records YouTube videos from his basement all day that really gets me.

A miserable, cynical liar of the first order who cares about no one but himself.Image

It is unfortunate that people like this have any platform at all, but I take great comfort in knowing that there are Palestinians all across the West Bank who consider me family, and who would laugh this fucking loser right out of town.

🧵 For the past two years, I’ve been reporting on how Israel uses archaeology as a tool of land theft and de facto annexation in the West Bank. Today, Ynet published an inside account from the IDF’s archaeology unit—the Israeli Civil Administration’s Staff Office for Archaeology—describing a “dramatic transformation” that has accelerated in recent years. “Today, we would never give up. Any place I want to excavate, I excavate.”Image
Image
Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu, recently seen sporting a gold noose on his lapel, has no time for euphemisms: Israel’s archaeological project, he says, is about "uncovering our ownership of this land.” Like I wrote before, "an effective machine for converting archaeological discovery into territorial power." I have some incredible news to share. Today, after 9.5 agonizing months, Mohammed Zaher Ibrahim was released from Israel’s Ofer Prison and into his father’s arms. The Israeli military had no right to take him in the first place, and the family credits the relentless grassroots campaign that kept up the diplomatic pressure to free him. He’s in rough shape, but okay, and on his way to the hospital for treatment. Once he’s discharged, his mom, dad, brother, and sisters will have his favorite meal and a very belated 16th-birthday celebration waiting for him at home. I’ll share more details soon.

Now that Mohammed is free, the family is asking all his supporters to keep fighting for the hundreds of Palestinian children still unjustly trapped in Israeli military prisons.

The family requests privacy for now.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone — lots to be thankful for.Image

🧵A fascinating—and revealing—Hebrew-only piece today in the settlers’ outlet Arutz Sheva, written by extremist settler Elisha Yered, laying out the settlers’ systematic strategy of building illegal outposts on Palestinian land to expand Jewish control of the West Bank. Image He starts by noting that every faction of the settler movement—from the violent hilltop youths to the leaders of the official settlement councils—works in close coordination. So much for the idea of a few fringe extremists. Image

Day after the attack: Peaceful olive farming across Turmus’ayya today. The Israeli army is going around to different fields asking farmers if they’re okay (lol). Normally I wouldn’t share a video like this, but idk… I feel like it’s a reminder that real boots on the ground reporting can have an impact? We are at the exact scene of the attack. At the very end of this video an Israeli police commander shows up. He recognized me and wants to ask me a few questions… they’re “investigating” yesterday’s violence.

October 19, 2025. On the first day of the olive harvest in Turmus'ayyer, the Israeli Defense Force leads a group of farmers directly into a brutal ambush by armed settlers. These people need to be in prison by tomorrow, and the people of this village, and all across Palestine, need to be protected. Enough is enough. The US Embassy said that no, they cannot protect me. 🧵Children of the occupied West Bank, October 11-15.

First up, kids in Umm al-Kheir—where a settler shot Yinon Levy dead in July—watching settlers cut up a fence to steal more of their land. Image

🧵Haaretz published a Hebrew-only article today, nominally about Israeli soldiers facing PTSD from their time in Gaza, with numerous admissions to killing children. Image “… ‘We enter the area…and start spraying, firing hundreds of bullets. Then we charged forward, and then I realized that it was a mistake.’ There was no terrorist there. ‘I saw two bodies of children, maybe eight years old, maybe ten’… the company commander arrived and said coldly, as if he wasn't human, 'They entered the extermination area, it's their fault, that's how it is in war.’”Image

I spoke to a teacher at a fancy NYC private school last night who said that on Wednesday the kids spent the whole day on TikTok watching the unblurred close-up assassination video, and the school couldn’t stop it. That seems… really bad. I remember in 2004 some kid at school went to great lengths to navigate the dark corners of the internet and find the nick berg beheading video. Seemed like it really fucked him up. It is so insane that this stuff is passed around like cat videos now

Will media critic and “Gaza Famine Myth” author Michael Ames (@mirkel) apologize for spending two days pushing misinformation about the Charlie Kirk assassination to vilify trans people and the left? For a guy so concerned with media bias, he sure doesn’t seem to care much for facts.Image

This guy calls Drop Site News “foreign agitprop” for publishing Hamas’s statements verbatim, and tried to get me deplatformed for writing a freelance piece for them. Meanwhile he spends all fucking day tweeting far-right conspiracy theories. This is what @TheFP is all about.

An Israeli sniper from Chicago, after killing a 19-year-old and then shooting his brother for trying to retrieve the body: "What was so important about that corpse?”

Those were 2 of the 4 members of the same family killed by Israeli snipers on a single day in Gaza, Nov 2023. Image Unbelievable quote: Image

🧵Israel’s Supreme Court, which rarely challenges the country’s war conduct, ruled today that the government is failing to give Palestinian prisoners enough food to ensure a “basic level of existence.” Ben Gvir called the judges a disgrace and vowed to change nothing. Image In other words, Israel’s Supreme Court ruled that the government is starving its 11,000+ Palestinian prisoners, about a third of whom have not been charged. If you haven’t seen this yet, that’s because not a single major US paper has picked up the story.

Why are you all saying that Donald Trump is dead I am trying to track an insane story about Israeli soldiers potentially being captured during a massive Hamas ambush in Gaza, and you’re telling me Trump is dead?

🧵Quick thread on Ynet’s report about the “West Bank sovereignty plan” settler leaders are pushing Netanyahu to adopt, based on a previously unreported meeting the PM held last week. Image The question has always been: if Israel declares sovereignty over the West Bank, where exactly will it do it? Just the settlements? The whole territory, risking international condemnation? Only the eastern border, under the guise of “security”? Now a new plan has been revealed.

I told this unhinged creep that if he tweeted about Layla or the other young women who accused him of harassment and filed No-Contact Orders against him again, I’d release our DMs. I reminded him that every time he does, he terrifies them and triggers rape and death threats. He said, among many other insane things, "Don't threaten me unless you are willing to back up your threats with action. Don't start wars you cannot finish." Psychotic. Anyway, it took him exactly one day to share a fucking powerpoint deck naming them, showing their photos, and calling them "terror supporters"--including a 19-year old female student. I DM’d him yesterday to delete the tweet and remove their names, and he ignored it. So anway, here he is accidentally contradicting his new narrative by admitting that he "lost his job" at Columbia because of the investigation that Layla and his other accusers launched against him.Image

I spoke to Layla about this. She knows he’ll likely go after her even harder now, but she told me to go ahead—she thinks it’s more important to expose the extent of his creepiness than to shield her own name.

To reiterate, I don’t want to be doing this. I’d much rather focus on freeing 16-year-old Mohammed Zaher Ibrahim from Israeli prison and on other work. But this guy simply cannot control himself, and ignoring him just means he keeps terrorizing young women unchecked.

Biden officials David Satterfield and Jacob Lew (now a @ColumbiaSIPA professor, shockingly) introduce a fascinating new theory in their piece for @ForeignAffairs: Biden’s unconditional support for Netanyahu’s genocidal war prevented a humanitarian crisis in Gaza. 🚨Help Free 16-year-old Palestinian American Mohammed Zaher Ibrahim from Israeli Prison🚨

So much of what’s happening in Palestine feels out of our control, but this is a chance to make a real, material difference.

Yesterday I spoke with Mohammed's father, Zaher, about his son and their fight to free him from Israel's notoriously brutal Megiddo prison. I’ll be sharing clips from that interview along with tools to send letters to Huckabee, Rubio, and your Senators. His family is worried for his life and completely desperate to get him home, and they believe enough public pressure could actually move the US gov't to action. Please look for the links below, and share widely.Image

"They took my son away. We can do nothing about that. But can you give us something back, give us some happiness back? Can you at least get Muhammad out of jail?”

Here’s Mohammed’s father—and uncle of Sayfollah Musallet, who was beaten to death by settlers last month—recounting what Sayfollah’s father told Mike Huckabee when the two men met him: one seeking justice for his murdered son, the other fighting to free his son from military detention.

🧵It's nice that the Times decided to cover the explosion of settler violence in the West Bank, but I'm going to tell you everything that's wrong with the article. Image The core issue is the framing. This isn’t about “extremist” settlers or isolated cases of “arson” and “land grabs.” These are the deliberate and inevitable results of a fundamental shift in West Bank governance—engineered by Smotrich and backed by Netanyahu—that set them in motion.Image

An off-duty IDF soldier shot and killed a Palestinian in Duma today. Same pattern as always: settlers set up an illegal outpost beside a village, carry out regular pogroms, Palestinians eventually confront them, and settlers and/or soldiers open fire. Image Israeli media immediately spins it as “Palestinian terrorists attacking a ‘Jewish farm’”—their cutesy name for outposts run by the most violent settlers. Soon enough, the government will send them more weapons to “protect themselves.” Image
