It is unfortunate that people like this have any platform at all, but I take great comfort in knowing that there are Palestinians all across the West Bank who consider me family, and who would laugh this fucking loser right out of town.
Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu, recently seen sporting a gold noose on his lapel, has no time for euphemisms: Israel’s archaeological project, he says, is about "uncovering our ownership of this land.” Like I wrote before, "an effective machine for converting archaeological discovery into territorial power." He starts by noting that every faction of the settler movement—from the violent hilltop youths to the leaders of the official settlement councils—works in close coordination. So much for the idea of a few fringe extremists.

In other words, Israel’s Supreme Court ruled that the government is starving its 11,000+ Palestinian prisoners, about a third of whom have not been charged. If you haven’t seen this yet, that’s because not a single major US paper has picked up the story.
The question has always been: if Israel declares sovereignty over the West Bank, where exactly will it do it? Just the settlements? The whole territory, risking international condemnation? Only the eastern border, under the guise of “security”? Now a new plan has been revealed.
I spoke to Layla about this. She knows he’ll likely go after her even harder now, but she told me to go ahead—she thinks it’s more important to expose the extent of his creepiness than to shield her own name.
After October 7, we had to give Israelis the space to deal with their trauma by starving the Palestinians. 
The core issue is the framing. This isn’t about “extremist” settlers or isolated cases of “arson” and “land grabs.” These are the deliberate and inevitable results of a fundamental shift in West Bank governance—engineered by Smotrich and backed by Netanyahu—that set them in motion.
Israeli media immediately spins it as “Palestinian terrorists attacking a ‘Jewish farm’”—their cutesy name for outposts run by the most violent settlers. Soon enough, the government will send them more weapons to “protect themselves.”
