We have something classified as a "gay disease" that actually spreads via close contact, not just sexual contact, in a rising tide of homophobia/transphobia/queer-hating. It's going to get out into the general population, and then it's going to spread among kids.

Trans people are not a threat to your kids. Transphobes, who want some kind of genital inspections to be mandatory for participation in children's sports, are a threat to your children. The people who relentlessly call all LGBTQ+ people groomers and pedophiles, muddying the waters and making it harder for abuse victims to report, are a threat to your children.
