Veronaš®š¹
I had the opportunity to visit Verona this past summer and it quickly became one of my favourite cities in the world. It feels like everywhere you look there is history. The city felt so lively and the hills that surround it offer amazing views of the old town! I did not have as much time I had hoped, so Iāll definitely be returning to this gem in the near future.

Romeš®š¹
This one of self explanatory. I spent a week in Rome during Christmas time last year it was impossible not to fall in love with it. The architecture, the history, the monuments, the galleries, the palazziā¦ everywhere you look, everywhere you turn, there is something waiting for you. Donāt even get me started on the food.
I canāt wait to return to the Eternal City as a week was barely enough to scratch the surface.

An honest review of every Belgian city I have visited so farš§µ
All photos by me :))
Brussels: 6/10
The capital of Belgium, as well as the unofficial capital of the EU, is a complicated city. Brussels is rich in architecture: the Grand Place(one of the most beautiful squares in the world), Palais de Justice(the largest building built in the 19th century) as well as one of the finest collections of art nouveau architecture in the world.
However, the city has too many problems that are hard to ignore, itās dirty, there are too many ugly high rise buildings in the city centre (so much so that this phenomenon is called Brusselisation) and it has some awful neighbourhoods. The public transport isnāt great for a city with such size and wealth, and the Palais de Justice has been hidden under scaffolding for 40 years.
Despite all this, the city still has some nice museums, and lot of history, plus I have a soft spot for Art Nouveau, so it gets a 6.

NƮmes: 8.5/10
NĆ®mes has everything I love in a city. Gorgeous architecture, walkable streets, good food, friendly people and an absurd amount of history condensed into a small area. The city is famous for its Roman ruins, so much so that it was dubbed the most Roman city outside of Italy. I found the city to be quite safe, even at night. The city has one of the oldest public parks in Europe and this park is also the birthplace of NĆ®mes. This city is incredible and I canāt wait to return.

Milan: 8/10
Milan is the economic heart of Italy, and as a big city, it has big city problems. Some areas are sketchy, and around the train stations there are some really strange individuals.
The city was heavily bombed in WW2 and a lot of the damaged buildings were replaced by modernist ones, which gave Milan a reputation as an ugly city. However, Milan is an incredible city with incredible history. The city has some beautiful churches, gorgeous streets and great historical architecture, there is so much to do. Nevertheless, Milan is more of a business city than a cultural one, so due to this, combined with its modernist buildings, is why it gets a 8.

The Basque Country(Euskal Herria in Basque), is a region famed for its food, stunning landscapes and unique language and traditions. But one of my favourite parts of the Basque Country is the architecture, so here are some places Iāve photographed around Euskal Herriaš§µ
Bilbao is the capital of Bizkaia, one of the 3 provinces of Euskadi, the Autonomous Basque Community in Spain, and one of the 7 provinces of the greater Basque Country.
Bilbao has undergone a major facelift in the last decades, going from a decadent industrial city, to a booming port city with trendy restaurants and a lively nightlife. Thanks to this, much of the old town and historic architecture of the city has been restored and it looks awesome now.

Around Europe you will find many unfinished architectural projects, from grand churches to hospitals.
But is it our duty to finish what our ancestors started?š§µ
These projects were often abandoned due to lack of funding, wars, political turmoil, change in leadership, diseases or even geological factors.
A famous example is the notoriously unfinished Duomo di Sienaš®š¹

Paris: 6/10
Paris is definitely beautiful and very rich in culture, history and art, however it has too many problems that make the overall experience less enjoyable. I have been to Paris 5 times and each time I went I didnāt have a great experience, some of my biggest complaints - the scammers are everywhere, people are indeed very rude (I have enough for a whole post on this) and the city is quite dirty and sketchy in many places. However thanks to its architecture and museums Iāll give it a 6.
