1. Lemme share some ~thoughts~ about the San Francisco school board’s decision to rename 44 schools in order to “reckon with racism.” The board voted to rename George Washington High School, which I attended for less than a semester, after Maya Angelou. Which is laughable! 2. But this renaming process is a great example of how cities uses platitudes instead of policies to deliberately and ineffectively underserve Black communities.
