Good morning lovelies! It's Saturday morning in Oakland and that means it's time for some baking! I got up early but not early enough, so I'm making brunch and not breakfast. Anyway, let's get started!
Make milk warm enough and lets activate some yeast!
After 5 minutes we have bloom so everything else goes in with two cups flour and it all gets mixed up together. Once it's looking like a dough, it's time to add more flour and knead in the bowl until it's dry enough to knead on the counter.
It's kneading time! I'm adding flour a bit at a time until it feels about right and isn't sticking to the counter. It's about a cup more flour at the end. Eight minutes of kneading later and we give the gluten a little nap for 15 minutes. Make some coffee maybe.
