There has been a backlash against AR Rahman @arrahman after the Chennai concert fiasco. While many have attacked him for numerous reasons, one that I am unable to accept is when people say that money is all that matters to him. I have first hand experience of his generosity. Once when I was collecting money for a lung cancer patient, I asked him if he would like to contribute. I did not know him well. But the man trusted me and with no questions asked, sent me a cheque . He didn't know the caste, colour, creed of the patient. All that he thought of was helping him.
