Regarding an unbeliever performing on the altar/pulpit:
A church must be welcoming to everyone. We aren’t meant to condemn anyone or judge who’s allowed in or not.

But THE PULPIT is different. Not just anyone should mount the Pulpit/altar to perform. Here’s why: The altar is the most sacred and most important space in the church. It’s not a “stage” for anyone or any performance. Just like in a hospital, any patient can walk in and be diagnosed, but not anyone can walk in and wear the white coat to asses the patients.

“Should Christians listen to secular music?” Here are my thoughts on the matter.
TREAD.
Now first I want us to expand the concept of “secular” which means “not connected with religious or spiritual matters. A UI, ISI, Oxford etc are secular institutions. NaGeo, CNN etc are secular channels unlike TBN, Dove TV etc.

Now to music; twinkle twinkle little star, National Anthem, wedding/birthday songs etc are examples of secular songs

When we moved to our new house in 2008, I had a room to myself and after a few years, A desktop was added and a desktop and home speakers.

Every Christian will go through dark moments at some point. No matter who we are. It’s not always coz maybe we did sth bad. Sometimes God allows us to pass through these experiences to help us learn, relearn and become stronger people. We are sometimes made to experience these things as a test of faith. If everything was always according to our plan and we could achieve everything when we wanted to always, how do we know how deeply we trust God?

Yes, every Christian should know how to “speak” the gospel through the help of the holyspirit. But there’s also a deeper factor, that is communicating, passing across a message. How do we communicate the gospel? Certainly not via speaking alone.

While entering Js1 through Js3, I was big. I was fat, round, full chubby cheeks and all that. And because of this, I was picked on a lot. I was underestimated a lot. I was made fun of a lot. I remember whenever it was time to play football it was a struggle to be picked... 1/13 No one wanted the fat kid. This was why I found myself more in the basketball court since fewer people played it, I had a better chance. I remembered how insecure I felt. I had friends but never felt among. So I bought this washing machine half a year ago and the way it’s been serving me has been sweet. Each time I take my clean cloths out of it, there’s this satisfaction I get that makes me bring out a peace of cloth to clean off the smallest of dust on its surface. 1/5 I sometimes feel like giving it a kiss for saving me the stress of having to wash with my hands for hrs (my life style back in my school days). We have gotten to the era where information is flying around way faster than any other element. Different writers have emerged with different ideologies and theories about how to make the best out of life, how to be successful, 1/ how to make millions in the labor market, how to rise above others in wealth, how to invest and save and grow your cash, its endless.
And then we have several other writers who have come up with different kinds of interpretation of the scripture. 2/

A mind that Derives pleasure in posting stories, videos and pictures that instigate disgust and hatred for the name of Jesus, Christianity and the church could only be controlled by a spirit and it’s not the spirit of God. 1/4 A mind that gets excited when hearing or reading about the downfall of a pastor or evangelist or any fellow Christian has also be contaminated by that spirit and it’s not the spirit of God. 2/4

Bringing people’s heart to the knowledge of Jesus is not a job for “selected Christians”. Think about it. If Christ is our model, what was Jesus’ ultimate task? Spul winning.
He healed the sick (a doctor),
he provided food (a chef)
cured a mad man (psychiatrist) 1/5 healed the blind man (Ophthalmologist) etc, he was all these things, but The ultimate purpose of it all was to point the hearts of man back to God.
So this means you don’t have to be a missionary, an evangelist or a pastor before receiving the mandate of soul winning. 2/5

It’s ok not to have all the answers sometimes, it’s ok to be clueless sometimes, but in the mist of the cluelessness never forget to put your trust in God,
He says in proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 1/ In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
He has all the answers, he always knows which way to go and which step to take. It’s in the place of trusting and acknowledging Him that we get the answers and directions we need. 2/
