Autopsy poll from Trump pollster Tony Fabrizio also showed Fauci had about a 75% approval rating, along with similar support for a mask mandate. Voters also said they prioritized getting covid under control over reopening economy. Voters also said Biden was more trustworthy. also from Fabrizio: “9-in-10 voters in both groups said that SCOTUS was a factor in deciding their vote. Ironically, those who said it was a factor voted for Biden in both state groups while those who said it wasn’t a factor voted for POTUS by large margins.”

There are many moments from the Trump presidency... but a post on Twitter just reminded me of one of my favorites: When he went to the national prayer breakfast & mocked Arnold Schwarzenegger's ratings & asked the crowd to "please pray for Arnold, if we can, for those ratings." There was the time he asked the 7 yo boy if he believed in Santa and said he knew at 7, belief in Santa was "marginal." The time he told a man, whose property was destroyed by a hurricane and who had a washed boat up on his lawn, "at least you got a nice boat out of the deal."

A thread I've gleaned from eight conversations today with Trump advisers, White House aides & others in GOP: There is deep anger in Trump world at how Trump treated VP Pence. One described as "unconscionable." A second said they were "repulsed." Wide feeling he deserved better. Trump never checked in on Pence after he was taken to secret location from vote. Tweeted negatively about him as the mob was already in the Capitol.

A couple scenes from POTUS event tonight: He asked if Sen. Lisa Murkowski was there and she wasn’t. “She hates me. I kind of like her but she really doesn’t like me. We do so much for Alaska you’d think we’d get her vote for something one of these days,” POTUS said. He said Sen. Joni Ernst pesters him relentlessly on ethanol. “Let me just tell you, she’s never happy. No matter what we give her: 15%, 12 months, you name it. She’s asking for more. I’m like, Joni, there isn’t enough corn in America to get what you want done. She’s relentless.”
