Having considered the PM's statement on responding to the Rwanda judgment with a treaty and emergency legislation, a few thoughts on how Parliament might respond below - prompted by @Prof_Phillipson 's thread - long thread: Re the bilateral treaty, I think it could be arranged fairly quickly under the circumstances -the result is plainly anticipated by Gov and discussions will have been held. Not sure of the end game - whether to override treaties to the contrary or provide safeguards; 1/13

There are a number of issues forecast in the Gov’s pre-bill publication announcement of the Coronavirus Bill which I think could benefit from advanced thinking: Here’s the statement: Thread - 1/8 gov.uk/government/pub… Is a two year period (leading to sunset) too much?
