✨Great analysis of Unicode's emoji frequency data. We really want to emojify concepts people find useful. Once I understood how emojis are used to convey emotion, intent, body language, volume, etc. it totally changed my perspective on what to prioritize. wired.com/story/why-unic… Since the last emoji release I've been consulting with a number of experts around gesture, linguistics & comics theory to craft a strategy for smiley emojification. There's big talk about inclusion and diversity at Google so if you need any evidence of Google is making this priority may I direct your attention to the 🥗 emoji— we've removed the egg in Android P beta 2, making this a more inclusive vegan salad. All ya'll red heads are losing your red headed minds over the new red head emoji but ya'll realize this doesn't mean you get red headed skateboarders or redheaded vampires, right? You get … a redheaded person. That's it.
