A few years back, I met back up with a childhood friend. We'd both been raised Christian, but I was still surprised that she'd doubled down on that. But it was fine. Her choice; I respected that. Then we started talking about abortion. She was a forced birther (no, I'm NOT going to call it anything else) and it was clear that she was passionate about her beliefs and she allowed that cases of incest or rape should be exceptions. But I asked her if she knew anyone who'd had an abortion. She said no.
