but the day I can travel with a dual USB-C setup and charge MacBook Pro, iPad, iPhone, AirPods, battery pack, GoPro and Magsafe base interchangeably will be a good day

There's so many ways to buy an eSIM when travelling, but this has to be one of the simplest.

1. Download app
2. Choose amount of data
3. That's it

(especially useful if you're buying a US-model iPhone 14, which has no SIM tray)

More details: jeremyburge.com/post/684413901… The best part of eSIM? Leave your usual number active (in iMessage, or for banking, etc), but use data from the local eSIM account.

Both will work side by side, but you avoid data roaming fees.
