Hey, just stopping by to say, that thing that happens in movies & shows where people kick an addiction because of a game or goal or up to the minute suspenseful project: that’s some bullshit. Not drinking, not snorting, and not shooting up is not as simple as willed determination I’m going to say more, but I need a nap. For now I’ll just say it’s important that we watch what entertains us and understand that often it entertains us BECAUSE it is a lie.

Can I give y’all just a little of advice that you don’t have to take...and really, I think this is just for men: when you hurt someone and the two of you stop talking because of it, at the point that you want to reach back out, start with the thing that paused the conversation... Don’t start with “what’s up stranger.” Just be an adult, and at the very least say, “hey, I miss you and would really like it if we could talk about what happened.” And there are reasons this is better than moving forward as if nothing ever happened. I really don’t understand the part of life where men (both straight and gay) get frustrated—angry really—about guys they deem feminine flirting with them...and then want to call me to complain about it like my job is to make them feel better about someone finding them attractive.
