1/8 Yesterday the @UNESCO delegates unanimously accepted 41c/22, the open science recommendation document. That is a landmark as it makes open science a more global endeavour en.unesco.org/science-sustai…. But what is it about? There is quite a lot in there. A short thread to recap. 2/8 Just a few crucial elements from that recommendation (my view, pls. read it all). First, open science is defined as pertaining to accessibility and reusability of *outcomes* as well as the opening up of the *process* of knowledge creation and as well as *public engagement*.
