Is AFTER HOURS Scorsese's horniest movie? This was a formative viewing experience for teenaged me at any rate Several of my biggest 80s crushes (Rosanna Arquette, Linda Fiorentino, Teri Garr and Catherine O'Hara) were in this

He has too many hits, and many of them aren't on this list Like, his first hit isn't on the list, the song about the depressed Paris metro ticket puncher who finally shoots himself in the head

When the Roe decision was leaked, that was a test to see how the Democrats would respond. They didn't do anything. They kidded themselves into thinking this was a draft and that the real decision would be different. That only emboldened the right. Now look where we are. It's cruel at this point for the Dems to think they can fundraise off their own inactivity on this issue. This is all happening because of their intransigence & complacency. The fact that Roe was overturned while the Dems held the executive and the legislative branches? Pathetic

What annoys me about this “revelation” is that during the election this guy was pouring cold water on the mere suggestion that “Secure Our Future” or the Conservative Party tweeting 14 word tweets were hints that the party was dogwhistling to get RW extremist support “If the Conservative Party was trying to appeal to Nazis for support then why weren’t they tweeting in German? Check. Mate.”

"Get Back" was okay, I really wish they had interviewed some of today's top artists for the film. Would have liked to see Dave Grohl say that there wouldn't have been Nirvana or the Foo Fighters without the Beatles, to put the band in historical context "There were four guys. John, Paul, George and - you know where I'm going with this - Ringo."

Start writing those concession speeches now, I say People voted for Biden to stop Trump and because they were told a Democrat president would reverse the bad things Trump did. Since they haven't, they are going to have a tough time convincing a majority of voters that they will suddenly change course in 2024

Folks, the Sopranos are back. Tony, Carmela, Uncle Richie, Junior and the rest of the gang are together again. Well, sort of. In this fall’s “The Many Saints Of Newark” we meet America’s favourite crime family back when they were teens. When that screen cut to black at the end of the final season of “Sopranos” we thought we saw the last of Tony and the gang. And so too frankly did David Chase, the creator of the show. But lucky for us, a few years later Chase found one more Soprano story to tell. The early days

WandaVision... this is definitely a show for people who like their entertainment a little on the WEIRD side One way I can describe it - think of "I Love Lucy" or "Ozzie & Harriet" but with a Marvel twist

This summer there will be the name of a particular ghost on everyone’s lips. His name? Muncher. He’s just one of the many spooky creatures you can expect to run into in the multiplex in the long-awaited followup to 1989’s smash hit “Ghostbusters II”, “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” Image A lot has changed in the world since “Ghostbusters II” was released 32 years ago. The end of the Soviet Union, the death of “The People’s Princess” Lady Di, and the tragic events of 9/11. How will Slimer, Muncher etc be able to cope with this whole new world? Well, we’ll have to

If you’ve seen THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER you know why the GOP are turning on Trump now. They are the simple townsfolk who fell for his mesmerizing Preacherman schtick: now that he is obviously A Bad Man they are chasing after him with pitchforks & torches to cover up being fooled I am half-kidding but also half not-kidding

Serious question: what was the last movie Bruce Willis was in where he was acting and not just being Bruce Willis getting paid to be in the movie? I feel like it might have been Unbreakable but is there a more recent example? Don't say Live Free or Die Hard because he pretty much phoned that one in

Several movies made this decade are real movies but don’t seem real. They were released in theatres but no one talked about them. They were released on VOD and streaming services but still no one talked about them. This thread will pay tribute to them THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE, a 2017 drama about an Iraq war soldier dealing with PTSD. Starring Miles Teller and Amy Schumer in a supporting role. I never saw a commercial for it. It opened wide & two weeks later, vanished. Did it come out on video? I’ve never seen it for sale
