Imagine a drug that is like the drug in Limitless (NZT-48), it enhances cognition *realistically*, people on the drug "do the obvious rational thing" consistently and are generally smarter

Now imagine you're the first to manufacture NZT-48... Could you and your friends take over the world using this drug, in part by controlling the supply?

Probably, yes, you could set up much better coordination protocols, including protocols for controlling the supply and bringing in new members.
