The Republican construction exec is challenging Dem Gov. @Tony4WI, who’s seeking a second term. It’s a dead heat race. I'll be in Milwaukee at @michelsforgov's election night party, while @byjackkelly holds down the fort with @Tony4WI in Madison.

My election night snacks include water, two flavors of Red Bull, beef jerky, chips, almonds, chocolate and a sammich.

.@SenRonJohnson is up at the @wisgop convention, taking the stage to chants of "six more years." .@SenRonJohnson says he first ran for office because he "was panicked for our nation."

"Now I’ve been serving for 11 years. I’ve seen the change, and I hate to admit it, I’m more panicked."

.@SenRonJohnson is the guest at the @MKEPressClub's newsmaker luncheon.

"My purpose here isn't trying to make headlines; my purpose is to convey to the American public information and truths that I believe are important." .@SenRonJohnson on whether he'll run again for #WISEN in 2022: "I don't feel any pressure to make (a decision) anytime soon."

According to Lafayette County Board member Kriss Marion, a resolution has been introduced that, among other things, says media that print info from a press release about a water quality study — but not the WHOLE press release — "will be prosecuted." Good morning! It's a busy day in Wisconsin's beautiful state Capitol. So many things happening. For starters, @GovWalker will light this Christmas tree at noon. But wait! There's more! Last night, the Legislature's Joint Finance Committee voted to approve bills that would narrow Wisconsin's early voting window and strip away some powers from the executive branch and attorney general. Vos and WI Republicans have talked about limiting some executive powers before @Tony4WI takes office. Pocan and Vos are in opposite parties, but are friends. .@repmarkpocan names priorities for House Democrats:

In a few minutes, the WI Legislature's Joint Finance Committee will hear testimony on a bill that would offer $100 million in tax incentives to Kimberly-Clark in exchange for the company keeping its Cold Spring plant open. @ScottWalker proposed this Foxconn-inspired deal in Feb. The state Assembly voted 56-37 to approve the Kimberly-Clark bill in February, but the Senate never took it up. madison.com/ct/news/local/…
