Just putting this out there, but what if Proof of Inspiration is something like these little clips we got before? Perhaps longer versions? I wonder if they’ll talk about not only the OT7 songs but the solo songs they put on Proof? 🥺

Over a year and this video still takes me out. 😭
No one asked but I’m going to turn this into an impromptu thread because I need you all to see the series. 😂
Individuation is only possible with people through people. You must realize you’re a link in a chain, not an electron suspended… or aimlessly drifting through the cosmos.

✱ A baby thread!
Okay so, I think this new album may be the third (and last) part of the MOTS series, especially because our journey was cut off unceremoniously by the pandemic.
The English title of the album is “We are Bulletproof” but the Korean title is “We are Bangtan”, a statement.

In the MV, we posters for the Singing in the Rain movie multiple times. There are even some scenes that are reminiscent of the movie.
The connection between Boy with Luv & Singing in the Rain go beyond the aesthetics in the MV. It actually ties in with the archetypes!

The Love Yourself Highlight Reels featured six girls, also mentioned in The Notes. We see each member paired with a girl, except for Jimin.
Given how the BU is connected with psychology & the #Jungian archetypes, are these girls their #Anima?
For me, the answer is no.

The first sequence holds so much symbolism for the Jungian Ego.
Images alluding to the Ego include the mountains, the birds, even the state of #JHOPE “being in between”.
We also see that the process of self-reflection is involved, as depicted by the montage at the start.

Interlude: Shadow was the first MV we got for MOTS:7.
Shadow is the second of Carl Jung’s archetypes that we encounter.
The opening scene is reminiscent of the artist Anisha Kapoor’s installation, the “Svayambh”.
We also see hints of the veil of Maya this early in the MV

Intro: Persona kicked off the MOTS series & is fittingly named after one of Carl Jung’s major archetypes, the Persona.
The lyrics & the visuals capture the essence of this archetype really well. It starts with the question “Who am I?”, an important question in Jung’s work.
