It's 10 AM and I've secured an alternate press pass for the Karen Read hearing. I will be staying here until 11 AM and then going back over to Dedham to cover the Kearney hearing. Let me take a look around and see what we have going on today.

Attorney Bradl is here and he is speaking with two different police officers who are witness in this case. If you're attending, the trial will be starting in Courtroom 1 the courtroom where we have had most other hearings in this case and then, I am told, we may be moving to another courtroom.

Good morning from Norfolk District Court for Day 26 in the #KarenRead trial.

Traffic was brutal this morning, per usual.

I'm in the courtroom today and ready to share my observations with you for a perspective you can't see on TV.

Attorney Allessi just came into the almost empty courtroom and turned to the press box and very happily said "Good Morning everybody!"

He joked that he was going to ask to see the Judge first thing and make a motion that we move today's hearing outside to enjoy the weather.

BREAKING: Another Massachusetts illegal migrant charged with raping his daughter.

Lorenzo Lopez Alcario charged with rape of a child with force, aggravated, victim tied, bound, or gagged.

Sources tell me Alcario blindfolded his 8 year old daughter and raped her. Alcario allegedly recorded the rape and the mother of the child found the video and turned him in.

Alcario is set to be arraigned in Marlborough district court as we speak.

I am on the zoom. The case has just been called. I am listening now.

I am in the courtroom right from the start today.

There was a very large local standout yesterday for Karen Read. How does a juror, who is expected to avoid all things Karen Read, avoid this while out and about in Norfolk County? Impossible.

Good morning from Norfolk Superior Court for Day 3 in the #KarenRead murder trial. Yesterday, I was able to observe jurors for the first time and share that with you. I am on the reserve list again today, and I will know at 11 AM if I will have courtroom access again. Follow this thread for real-time updates.

Whitley is back on the stand and Yannetti is going hard at him right out of the gate. He wants clear, yes or no responses from the Canton Firefighter, which he is not getting. Yannetti doesn't want extra or elaboration.

Good morning from Norfolk Superior Court. Today is Day 2 of the #KarenRead murder trial. Read supporters are allowed inside the buffer zone until 8 AM each day. I arrived early and spoke with some of them before I went inside. By 7:59 AM, they had moved on.

I am on the alternate list for the week, so I have set up camp in the press room. Later today we will have the list for press for next week and we'll see if we are inside.

Good morning. I am here at Norfolk Superior Court for a hearing regarding @DoctorTurtleboy and potential new charges of witness intimidation related to the #KarenRead case. Yesterday morning, Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan confirmed that City Administrator Seth-Thomas Aitken was under an internal investigation. By the end of the day, Aitken had resigned. Today, I have uncovered the reason behind the investigation. A thread. Last week, two members of the Fall River City Council, Linda Pereira and Michelle Dion, contacted Coogan and told him they individually received information about Aitken and a private business he was associated with. Coogan met with Pereira and Dion last Saturday and city hall.

18 year-old Jacob Pothier was a Massachusetts high school junior when he died last January in a car accident. He and 44 year-old Kathleen Martins were in her car when it crashed, killing Pothier. To date, that is all that the Bristol County District Attorneys office has said about the case and that it is still an open investigation, but we know much more.

Pothier was a student at Greater New Bedford VocTech. He was a junior when he died. Martins had been a security guard at the high school. It is believed that Martins, a married mother from Dartmouth, groomed Pothier and they were in a sexual relationship for years.
