Part 2 of Night Train is on Radio 4 soon - 11.45am. This chapter, ODESA, starts with crossing the Danube at dawn on a chilly morning, joining a military convoy to Odesa.

I'm also a photographer, so thought I'd share photos (& snaps) from that time, to accompany the audio... Image Odesa's Pryvoz, the market to end all markets. Even during wartime, the range of produce was unbelievable. This couple made sauerkraut, fermented apples, pickles... Image
