so my gf showed me a post on cohost where someone had found this 2002 game made by a game company run by and for Japanese crossdressers (they also sell wigs and other supplies) and I wanted to find more about it
aside from a day old cohost post, a vndb entry, and an old website by an angry fujoshi complaining its not yaoi, there's no english info and my japanese is really, really bad, but I did find out about some of its mechanics on its store page and I think they're pretty interesting!

what does "patient zero" REALLY mean? we just don't know. what we do know is that journalism, and without that we have no democracy. yes, trans people. but trans people more than democracy? many sides debate this question. to point out one side lies would show bias against it.
a journalist does not advocate. facts might lead the reader to a conclusion that is biased against those lying to you. by advocating against trans people, we are showing our lack of bias toward those we harm. journalism. questions. philosophy. these are words to think about.

so in 1989 there was a Dutch-Japanese cartoon called Alfred J Kwak that was a buck wild cartoon for many reasons, but it also had a trans masc character, Ollie the stork. Ollie also becomes the fantasy animal kingdom's first democratically elected president.
the show tells a continuous story from Alfred's birth through adulthood. Ollie was a classmate with she/her pronouns who later goes by he/him in adulthood. the transition happens between episodes and in 2013 the creator confirmed Ollie was trans because "those things happen"
