Have you ever tried managing, scaling, networking, running, and deploying even just a few containers in production by hand??

Well i have and it’s terrifying and depressing without an orchestration layer 🧵 The year is ~2020. I’m on an observability team deploying a grafana, Prometheus stack.

Pretty simple, it’s like 4 pods: grafana, Prometheus, the ingestor, and an ingress.
