There has been a small amount of talk about the 2023 WGA negotiations this weekend, including a thought that we should band together with SAG and the DGA. Some history:

We have reached out to both unions many many times over the decades. Our door is open. SAG, IATSE and the DGA have no history of conflict negotiations. DGA’s attitude is to negotiate early, believing they’ll get more this way. (They’re wrong. They get less.) SAG and IATSE have complete power to shut down Hollywood but no structural or institutional will to use it.
