306. Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, the best team in politics, and nearly 80 million Americans did this. Speaking of "the best team in politics," it was thousands, and I want the whole world to know as many as possible. With a few minutes to breathe finally, here are a whole bunch of threads of the people who did this. Every one of these, and many more, deserve our country's thanks

Last week at our Grassroots Summit, I told our supporters that we still had a long way to go and that the closing days of this campaign were going to be hard.

This is, in part, what I meant. (1/?)
We all know that Joe Biden was the clear winner in Thursday’s debate. But that didn’t stop Donald Trump from seeing his best online fundraising night ever - better than any day in 2016.

And you can bet he’ll use every dollar to continue to spread lies about Joe Biden. (2/?)

You heard it from the VP: our grassroots community of donors helped us raise $383 million in September — a record. I’m proud of what you’ve been able to build, but there’s still more work to do. Here's some other things I’m proud of under the hood: (1/?)

Our success has been driven by our grassroots supporters. $203 million came from online donors. We had 1.1 million new donors last month — bringing the total to 5.5 million donors throughout this campaign. And as a result, we have $432 million in the bank. (2/?)

Lots of talk about big numbers around our fundraising, but I want to talk about some key numbers under the hood (1/however!) First, the majority of this raise is digital, which means grassroots supporters just like you. 95% of our donations came from grassroots donors.

Like so many other Democrats unifying every day around @JoeBiden’s character and leadership, I couldn’t be more excited to help elect him the next President and end the disaster of Donald Trump. It’s an honor to work alongside all of @TeamJoe who spent the last year fighting their hardest, in Philly HQ and the states, even when they were counted out. That’s who you want to be in the fight with, always.

The end of a campaign is always so hard and sad. And this is the hardest. I’ve had the real honor to work for public servants at a lot of levels, lucky to win a few - and, like most who do this long enough, losing more than a few too I always say you learn as much or more from the losses as you do from the wins; and while that’s way easier to say than to live, it’s as true today as ever. More to come, but a today a few things I learned from this one:

I’ve sent letters to each of @facebook @twitter and @google on behalf of not just our campaign - but every campaign who has been left to contend on our own against disinformation. This isn’t our job to clean up: it’s theirs. Here’s our letter to @jack, whose platform announced they are leaving the demonstrably false information up.

This weekend, a right wing bot network spread the completely false rumor that the Odessa shooter had a Beto sticker on his car. This was even echoed by Trump advisors. washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/… As a campaign, we’re almost entirely powerless to stop misinformation. We can tweet corrections, but only a fragment of the people exposed will see it. This rests on Twitter, Facebook, and Google who let this go completely unchecked.

Hi hi. On my way back to El Paso and thought I'd share a few thoughts from last night's debate. 1. I'm so proud of @betoorourke. He showed his fluency across every issue, the strength of his plans, the values that drive him--he's a leader who tells you directly what he believes and will be a President for everyone.

Okay. So our numbers are out. Check your inboxes. I want to say a couple of things (1/however many). I am so proud of what our team -- staff, volunteers, supporters -- have been able to build together. We are building something special.
