The facts surrounding the Washington Embassy shooting are still emerging, but some more general observations may be made:
Israeli officials have wasted no time in, first, characterising the attack as antisemitic, and second, blaming it on critics of Israel's genocide in Gaza.
Even Sir Keir Starmer—whose government has armed Israel throughout its criminal onslaught—did not escape this censure.

When Zelensky visited, Labour said we have to speak with “one voice” supporting Ukraine and Sunak “agreed”. The BBC reported that, during his speech, Zelensky was “bathed in sunlight”.
In the press conference afterwards, the only “critical” questions demanded to know why Ukraine wasn’t getting more fighter jets and sooner. One BBC Ukraine journalist physically embraced the President, prompting another reporter to request a hug of her own.

Last week @NadiaWhittomeMP alleged that a 'wholly unacceptable' 'atmosphere and tone' in a Nottingham East CLP meeting had led to 'a Jewish member . . . feeling they had no choice but to leave', while immediately after said meeting its Chair was suspended.
