The anti-LGBTQ right-wing love affair with Russia didn't just happen.
TYT hasn't been alone on this, but I wanted to recap some of our reporting.
2018: @kenklippenstein and I reveal The Family and anti-LGBTQ allies trying to weaken Ukraine's EU ties. legacy.tyt.com/2018/07/19/gop…
Later we revealed The Family's role in Rep. Bob Aderholt's travel to Ukraine... where he met w/ lobbyists for oligarchs for the then-president, whose party was seen as a Russian ally.
NEW: The National Prayer Breakfast has been accused of being used to build right-wing, anti-LGBTQ networks.
We just found out one of the top people making up the guest list for the breakfast is a longtime executive at Chick-fil-A. tyt.com/stories/2cjThe…
In a statement, Chick-fil-A confirmed that exec Tim Burchfield has been involved with the National Prayer Breakfast for more than 20 years.
But many of their claims, including about who he invites, are contradicted by what internal breakfast documents say about his guests.

NEW: Charged with lying to the FBI, Rep. @JeffFortenberry made multiple misleading statements in his responses this week...
...that concealed the role played by The Family and a Christian charity deeply involved in illegal Fortenberry campaign donations.
In his video, Fortenberry speaks as though the people involved in the campaign funding scheme were strangers.
But that's not true.

NEW: Indicted Rep. @JeffFortenberry (R-NE) is a longtime insider of The Family, the secretive religious group behind the National Prayer Breakfast.
We have details in the newest installment of our @tytinvestigates series on The Family:
Perhaps the biggest tell... Fortenberry's chief of staff had virtually no political experience... but his connections to The Family go back more than a decade, according to his LinkedIn profile.

NEW: We found out who secretly bankrolls the National Prayer Breakfast, keeping the purportedly nonpartisan, ecumenical event in the black every year:
Every year, a source told me, Graham funnels $100,000 to the Fellowship Foundation, the legal entity of The Family, which stages the breakfast...
...through his two nonprofits, Samaritan's Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Past tax filings reveal traces.

In case you missed it, a quick recap of our exclusive story:
The Secret Origin of Mike Lindell: How the secretive group behind the National Prayer Breakfast radicalized TV's pillow pitchman.
While Democrats are fighting to raise the minimum wage to $15/hour, @Sen_JoeManchin says he opposes it.
But he won't say whether he has a vested interest in doing so.
Turns out, he has a stake in at least one company that pays less than $15/hour.
Legal documents allege Manchin has a financial stake in at least two WV companies that pay less than $15/hour and would have to pay their workers more if Manchin (and @SenatorSynema) signed off.
Neither company appears in Manchin's ethics filing:
Pete Buttigieg testifies today on his nomination to run the Dept. of Transportation.
I spent almost a year covering Buttigieg. He refused to speak with me, so I’m going to thread some of the things senators could ask him about today.
In 2011, Jiha’d Vasquez, 16, was found dead, hanged, on a utility tower.
In 2012, Buttigieg became mayor and Jiha’d’s mother asked him for help with the case. Common Council records show Buttigieg was at the meetings where she spoke about her son.

For the law and order party, a thread on the Dept. of Justice guidelines for who should be considered for clemency.
Enough time is supposed to elapse between serving sentence and clemency for the recipient to have demonstrated good character.
FBI is supposed to do a background check to assess a clemency petitioner's reputation, involvement in the community and charitable activities.

Love to see media telling us this is the last we'll hear of Trump.
As if they won't still cover him.
Literally telling us we won't hear anymore from the man they're endlessly analyzing and focusing on as he leaves.

NEW: The annual National Prayer Breakfast is next month.
A bipartisan event, it's traditionally attended by the U.S. president.
Last year, however, the breakfast’s leaders helped Trump convince millions the election was stolen.
My story: tyt.com/stories/4vZLCH…
The breakfast is run by the secretive Christian group, The Family, which has been bankrolled by GOP billionaire Ron Cameron.
After Trump's loss, Cameron gave more than $100,000 to Sens. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) and David Perdue (R-GA) as they amplified Trump's lies.

One year ago, a Wisconsin organic dairy farmer asked Trump USDA Secy. Sonny Perdue for help.
Perdue asked for details and said he'd get back to him.
This is the story of what happened next.
Farmer Paul Adams said he'd read about big farms that were somehow getting certified as organic -- flooding the market with organic milk, driving prices down and small farms out of business.
Their exchange was captured on video:

BREAKING: The EPA has stripped Oklahoma's tribes of regulatory sovereignty over environmental matters and handed it to the state's governor.
This is a huge deal.
@tihuachang has the exclusive report for @tytinvestigates: tyt.com/stories/4vZLCH…
As Ti-Hua reports, Oklahoma's tribes would be powerless to prevent wholesale dumping on tribal lands or protect them from a vast array of toxic materials and pollutants.

BOMBSHELL: The EPA set a deadline of MONDAY for Oklahoma tribes to respond to Gov. Kevin Stitt's request for the EPA to give HIM control over environmental regulations on tribal lands.
Ti-Hua previously reported that Stitt had quietly made the request to the EPA after the Supreme Court gave the tribes sovereignty over eastern Oklahoma.
Now, we have Stitt's letter ... and it goes farther than anyone knew.

Fascinating to see news of Trump saying something treated as a big deal when it's recorded on audiotape, privately, to one person...
...but when it's publicly to millions we have to both-sides it.
It's the implied intent to keep it secret that renders it "interesting".
When Trump says something publicly, his good intent is assumed:
"He's playing down COVID-19 to reassure people."
He says the same thing privately and the assumption is:
"He played down COVID-19 for political reasons."
Media assumptions are bad in both cases.

NEW: After the Supreme Court gave tribes sovereignty over half of Oklahoma…
…Gov. Kevin Stitt quietly moved to prevent the tribes from gaining environmental regulatory control, @TiHuaChang found out:
Publicly, Stitt and Sen. Jim Inhofe responded to the landmark ruling by pledging to work with Native American leaders to figure out the legal/regulatory implications of the Supreme Court’s seismic power shift.
