February 7, 1929 | Judy Beker was born in a small town (the "shtetl") in Lithuania known as Josvainiai. She was the youngest of three children. She survived the Kovno ghetto and Stutthof Concentration Camp. This is merely a fraction of her inspirational story and life... 1/ When Judy was 8 years old, her father died suddenly while on a business trip in the city of Kovno (Kaunas). Judy’s mother, Mina, moved Judy and her siblings (Rachel and Abe) to the city in 1938 and Mina began working as a seamstress to support the family.​ 2/
