okay, I got a question about chris von erich and THE IRON CLAW so i’m just going to answer it in thread form.
I’ve seen the film 3 times now, read some articles and watched both episodes of DARK SIDE OF THE RING about the Von Erichs. so I feel like I have some background.
I saw someone say that THE IRON CLAW is more about kevin losing his brothers than a story of the family, and I definitely agree with that. because cutting chris out isn’t the only big change the film made.
for example, kevin’s two daughters were born *before* his sons.

personally, as an assault survivor, Im much more wary of privileged men of means taking advantage of me then a guy who just needs some medical treatment and money for necessities.
but you know, i’m Black, so I also don’t run around pretending every Black man I encounter is a threat to me. because that is, say it with me class, racist!
